5.Blessing
1. Presence

“If God wanted to communicate to birds he would become a bird- If God wanted to communicate to cows he would become a cow- If God wanted to communicate to a pig he would become a pig. “But he wanted to communicate to human beings so he became one of us.”
2. Pardon
Luke 4:18 God’s Spirit is on me; he’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free.
Romans 3:24 God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift.

Jeremiah 29:11 I will bless you with a future filled with hope — a future of success, not of suffering. 12 You will turn back to me and ask for help, and I will answer your prayers
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly
4. Jesus didn’t come to give you religion he came to give you a life – so unwrap the gift and enjoy all that Jesus came to bring to you
5I pray that the LORD will bless and protect you,
and that he will show you mercy and kindness.
May the LORD be good to you and give you peace

5-Day Devotional: Unwrapping the Gift of Christmas
Day 1: The Gift of Presence
Reading: Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Psalm 48:14
Devotional:
Immanuel means "God with us"—the most profound truth of Christmas. God didn't send a message from heaven or dispatch an angel as His representative. He came Himself. When God wanted to communicate with humanity, He became one of us, entering our world as a vulnerable infant. This wasn't a temporary visit but a permanent commitment to walk alongside us. Today, reflect on areas of your life where you feel alone or abandoned. The promise of Immanuel is that God's presence goes with you through every season, every trial, every joy. He will be your guide even to the end. You are never alone.

Day 2: The Gift of Pardon
Reading: Luke 4:18-19; Romans 3:23-24; 1 John 1:9
Devotional:
Christmas announces the greatest pardon in history. Jesus came to set prisoners free—not just from physical chains, but from the guilt, shame, and condemnation that bind our souls. Out of sheer generosity, God put us in right standing with Himself. This wasn't earned or deserved; it was a pure gift. He got us out of the mess we created and restored us to where He always wanted us to be. Today, consider what burdens you're still carrying that Jesus already paid for. Are you living in the freedom of pardon or still imprisoned by past mistakes? Accept the pardon freely given and walk in the liberty Christ purchased for you.

Day 3: The Gift of Purpose
Reading: Jeremiah 29:11-13; John 10:10; Ephesians 2:10
Devotional:
You were made by God for God. Your existence isn't random or meaningless—you were crafted with intention and designed for purpose. God has plans for you, plans filled with hope and a future of success, not suffering. Jesus didn't come merely to get you into heaven someday; He came to give you abundant life today. When you discover your purpose in Him, you discover who you truly are and who you were always meant to be. Don't settle for just existing or merely surviving. Ask God today to reveal the specific purposes He has for your life. Turn back to Him, ask for help, and He will answer your prayers.

Day 4: Religion or Relationship?
Reading: John 10:10; Galatians 4:4-7; Romans 8:15-17
Devotional:
Jesus didn't come to give you religion—a set of rules, rituals, and regulations to follow. He came to give you life, abundant and overflowing. Religion keeps you at a distance, performing to earn approval. Relationship brings you close, accepted and loved as you are. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, often using religious obligation to rob you of joy. But Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Stop trying to earn what has already been freely given. Unwrap the gift of relationship with God. You're not a servant working for wages; you're a child enjoying your Father's presence. Live today in the freedom of sonship, not the burden of slavery.

Day 5: Living in the Blessing
Reading: Numbers 6:24-26; 2 Corinthians 9:15; Psalm 103:1-5
Devotional:
Christmas is a gift too wonderful for words—so overwhelming that human language fails to capture its magnitude. God's blessing over your life includes protection, mercy, kindness, goodness, and peace. These aren't distant hopes for the future but present realities to unwrap and enjoy today. Many believers have received the gift but never opened it, living impoverished lives beside unopened treasures. Today is your invitation to fully unwrap what Jesus came to bring: His presence that never leaves, His pardon that completely forgives, and His purpose that gives meaning to every moment. Thank God for His indescribable gift, and then live like someone who has received everything they need. Let His blessing transform how you see yourself, your circumstances, and your future.
