Day 2: Wrestling with God for Your Blessing

Reading: Genesis 32:22-32 (Jacob wrestles with God)

Devotional: Jacob's wrestling match with God reveals a profound truth: God rewards those who desperately pursue Him and refuse to let go. When God asked Jacob his name, He wasn't seeking information—He was inviting confession. "Jacob" meant deceiver, supplanter, con man. In admitting his identity, Jacob received a new one: Israel, Prince of God. Your past doesn't define your future when God renames you. Like Jacob, get hold of God and don't let go until He blesses you. Be honest about who you've been, but receive who He says you are. Your relationship with God is the most valuable thing you possess. Guard it fiercely. Let everything else go if necessary, but never release your grip on Him.
