There may be some things in your life that you can change. You can change some things by will power. But you need more than will power to change the things deep inside – you need more than desire to change – you need the Spirit of God to really change.
Philippians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
