You're Good Enough To Pray Day 3

Day 3: Persistent Faith Does Not Quit

Reading: 1 Kings 18:41-46

Devotional: Elijah prayed for rain during a three-year drought and sent his servant to look for evidence seven times before a cloud the size of a man's hand appeared on the horizon. That small cloud was enough. He did not wait for a thunderstorm before he declared the rain was coming. He acted in faith on the smallest sign. Persistent prayer is not a sign of doubt — it is a sign of deep conviction that God is at work even when the evidence is small. The drought in your life may not have broken yet, but do not stop looking toward the horizon. God honors the prayer that refuses to quit.

Reflection: Is there a prayer you have been tempted to abandon because the answer has not come quickly enough?

Application: Return to that prayer today. Pray it again with fresh faith. Look for even the smallest sign of God's movement and give Him thanks for it.
