You're Good Enough To Pray Day 2
Day 2: The God Who Welcomes the Weary
Reading: Matthew 11:28
Devotional: Jesus does not say come to me if you have enough faith, or come to me once you have cleaned yourself up. He says come to me if you are weary and carrying a heavy burden. Weariness is not a disqualifier — it is the very qualification He describes. There is a dangerous cultural lie that says asking for help is weakness. But Jesus directly and personally extends the invitation to those who are worn down. He promises rest, not a lecture. He promises relief, not condemnation. Whatever has been pressing down on you, God is not annoyed by it. He is actively inviting you to bring it to Him.
Reflection: What burden have you been carrying alone that you have been reluctant to bring to God?
Application: Write out your heaviest concern in the form of a prayer. Be specific. Then read it aloud as an act of trust, releasing it into God's hands.
