Before There Was A Problem God Had The Solution Day 3
Day 3: Standing Firm When the Storm Arrives
Reading: Ephesians 6:13 — Believers are instructed to take up the full armor of God so that when the day of trouble comes, they will be able to withstand it and remain standing after they have done everything required of them.
Devotional:
Paul does not say "if an evil day comes." He says "when." This is not pessimism. It is preparation. Storms are not a sign that God has abandoned you or that your faith has failed. They are an inevitable part of living in a broken world. The question is never whether the storm will come. The question is what you will do when it does. Peter stepped out of the boat in the middle of a storm, not on a calm day. The miracle happened in the chaos, not in spite of it. God uses adversity to introduce you to yourself, to reveal blind spots, and to build in you a resilience that comfortable seasons never could. Having done all to stand, stand.
Reflection Questions:
What storm are you currently standing in? What does "having done all to stand" look like practically in that situation?
What blind spots might God be revealing to you through your current difficulty?
Practical Application: Write down three things you know to be true about God that remain true regardless of your present circumstances. Read them aloud each morning this week as a declaration before you begin your day.
