Sometimes we can be so close to something and yet not see it, not appreciate it, not touch it.
Jesus one time said that the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand – it’s in reach – it’s so close
He added Repent (turn) and believe the Gospel (Good News)
The King was among them, but they couldn’t see Him, they couldn’t appreciate Him, they couldn’t touch Him – So close and yet so far
Sometimes we’re looking for God in the spectacular or in people of renown – but there are so many times that God shows up in the obscure and ordinary.
The Road To Emmaus is such a place, obscure with ordinary people walking on it.
