Seeing Yourself As God Sees You Day 3
Day 3: You Are a Masterpiece in Progress
Reading: Ephesians 2:8-10 — The truth that salvation is entirely God's gift, not earned by human effort, and that every believer has been created anew in Christ for purposes God planned long before they were born.
Devotional: The surgeon in the story could see the successful result of the reconstruction even before the bandages came off. The patient could not. She looked in the mirror and saw only her past. This is what an unhealthy self-image does — it weights the mirror with old wounds, old failures, and old voices until you cannot see what the Master has actually done. God does not see you through the lens of your worst moments. He sees you as His masterpiece — not because you are flawless, but because the Master's hand has been at work in your life. Believe it. Receive it. Become it.
Reflection Question: What past wound or failure most often distorts the mirror when you try to see yourself honestly?
Practical Application: Read Ephesians 2:8-10 slowly and out loud. Replace the word "you" or "we" with your own name as you read it. Sit quietly for two minutes afterward and allow those words to settle into your thinking.
