Day 4: Renewing Your Mind Through God's Word

Reading: Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:22-24

Devotional: Salvation is instantaneous, but transformation is a journey. When you were born again, your spirit became new, but your soul—your mind, emotions, and will—remained unchanged. That's why you still struggle with old patterns. The good news? God provides the path to renewal: the washing of water through His Word. You cannot teach yourself what you don't know, which is why you need spiritual mentors and consistent time in Scripture. Submit yourself to mature believers who demonstrate Christ-likeness. Humble yourself to learn as if starting over. Throw away the strategies that led you astray. Today, identify one area where your thinking doesn't align with God's Word. Find a Scripture that addresses it and meditate on it throughout the day. Let truth replace lies.
