Distractions Are Inevitable Day 4
Day 4: The Danger of Good Enough
Reading: Ephesians 3:14-21
Devotional: Paul prays that believers would begin to grasp the full dimensions of God's love and be filled with the complete fullness of God Himself. This is not a modest prayer. It is not a prayer for survival, for getting by, or for maintaining a comfortable spiritual plateau. The word of God promises exceedingly, abundantly above all that you could ask or think. And yet one of the enemy's most effective and least dramatic tactics is convincing people to settle. To stop pressing. To accept a rut as a residence. A rut and a grave are nearly identical in shape. The difference is that one still has time. Do not waste that time on good enough when fullness has already been made available to you.
Reflection Question: In what area of your faith have you quietly accepted "good enough" as a permanent condition rather than a temporary starting point?
Practical Application: Write down one specific area where you sense God calling you deeper. Pray over it daily this week and ask Him to show you one concrete step toward that deeper place.
