2Corinthians 9:15 Thank God for his gift that is too wonderful for words!
It's Tuesday, December 21st and there's 4 Days until Christmas. It's getting closer!
This week, as we countdown the days until Christmas, I'm unwrapping a thought about Christmas. Thank you for taking some time to read this post today as we take a look at what's inside the greatest gift of all, so let's unwrap Christmas.
It's Christmastime once again. It's a season of peace on earth and goodwill toward men. That's the biblical description of what God has done for us through the gift of His Son. Jesus brought peace on earth, that means peace with God and man and He shows us His goodwill by making it a free gift.
In all of our gift giving and gift getting, let's remember the Greatest Gift, Jesus.
A wonderful thing can happen to people this holiday season...at Christmastime we can worship Christ together! Just like the wise men and the shepherds, we can take some time to worship our Lord.
The wise men traveled a long distance to worship Him, the shepherds made haste to come and worship Him. Imagine if they had said, "we don’t have time right now, no need to do that now, I’ll have more time tomorrow to worship Him". Oh, how sad that would have been...we'd have to scratch out some great verses in the bible if they did that! But they did make time; they did put off important things for a far more important thing... worship of the Lord Jesus.
Let’s worship Him for a while today and experience what the wise men and the shepherds did as they knelt down before the Savior of the world, amazement and wonder.
As the song says "O Come Let Us Adore Him".
We may not all be able to come to the building this year but we can come together and worship the Lord. It’s not always about being in the same place physically but it is always about being in the same posture and that’s worship.
