This week, as we countdown the days until Christmas we'll take a peek at what's inside one of the greatest gifts that God has given to us, life itself. Let's unwrap Christmas.
John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life—life in all its fullness.
Have you seen the Christmas Classic "It's A Wonderful Life" starring Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey? In the movie, George is convinced people would be better off if he were never born.
As the movie progresses George gets to see his world and the people he has come to love living their lives without him, it's as if he was never born.
It's a dark and hopeless world without him. It turns out that the world was better because of his influence in it.
I hope that you believe that it is a wonderful life, and the world and the people in it are better because of you.
There are a lot of people who could use a little bit of your influence today. Maybe you know someone who's sad in this season, why not give them a call and say what Stevie Wonder sang "I just called to say I love you". You may be just what they needed today. Simple expressions of love can really go a long way. I would bet that you're thinking of someone that you can encourage and I think you'll do it today.
