Looking Forward To 2022

The New Year is here and the question is this - What do you think about that?

Much of what will determine what 2022 will be for us is contained in out attitude. If our attitude is to look up to God our 2022 will be great. But if we look to all the negativity of the past that's where we'll be headed in 2022, to a negative future which is NOT what God has planned for us. See Jeremiah 29:11 and recognize that God was speaking to people in a very dark time but He was showing them that He had a good plan for their future.

Without a doubt the past two years have been extremely difficult for so many people and the thing that’s on our minds and in the headlines everyday is COVID. It’s understandable that we would be concerned about this but it’s not understandable that we would be worried about it.

We should have an attitude that shows a responsible or proper concern; but worry just doesn’t work for our good. The Bible tells us not replace worry with prayer and thanksgiving.
Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful     hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. 7 Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.

We all want things to be normal again. But what’s normal? This Normal – God cares, God loves and God gives hope.

It's been said by many people, myself included, that your attitude will determine your altitude. In other words - if you're looking up you'll go up, if you're looking down you'll go down.

Have you ever watched a plane take off? You'll notice that the nose of the plane is pointed upward, that's why the plane can rise. Attitude determines altitude.

Let's keep that in mind in 2022 and let's use these passages from the Bible as our focal point...

Colossians 3:2 Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.

Jeremiah 29:11 I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether you eat or drink, live your life in a way that glorifies and honors God.
